Profit Repatriation and Banking Considerations in China

Webinar | 1 pm PST, 4 pm EST

Jul 10, 2019

On July 10th, Dezan Shira & Associates’ Head of International Tax and Transfer Pricing, Paul Dwyer, and East West Bank’s SVP-Head of Cross Border Banking, Tom Chang, will provide an overview of banking in China and address how investors can move their funds in and out of the country.

Strict foreign exchange controls in China have made foreign investors unfamiliar with the market concerned about their ability to move funds and more importantly, repatriate profits. While moving funds in and out of China can be challenging, it IS possible to do so cross-border and between related entities. To minimize headaches, investors need to have the right information.

Join us at 1 p.m. PST, July 10th, 2019, as Tom and Paul introduce the banking system in China as well as the funds flow process. In addition to outlining the bank accounts WOFE’s will want/need to have, they will also provide valuable information about the requirements and implications of the various means available to foreign investors to move money in and out of the country. Lastly, they will introduce transfer pricing requirements when moving funds between related entities.
