Dustin Daugherty leads Dezan Shira & Associates’ business development in North America from our Salt Lake City office in Utah, USA. He is the point of contact for our North American clients and partners, having extensive experience in our major offices across the Asian region, including Beijing and Shanghai in China, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and Delhi in India.

Since 2015, Dustin has helped oversee Dezan Shira & Associates’ and Asia Briefing’s growth, particularly in ASEAN and Vietnam, specializing in client advisory on investments in the region, business intelligence, and free trade agreement advisory from our Ho Chi Minh City office.

Previously a Manager of the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City International Business Advisory team, Dustin was responsible for guiding international clients through their market entry process into Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region, from pre-entry assessment to corporate structuring, and ongoing support in conjunction with his tax, accounting and payroll colleagues. Dustin has helped implement pre-investment planning trips for multi-national corporations and coordinates with the firm’s Business Intelligence team in managing legal and regulatory monitoring solutions for the ASEAN region. He was also a frequent contributor and Senior Editor to the ASEAN Briefing and Vietnam Briefing publications.

Dustin is a native of New York City, where he studied Political Science and International Relations at Columbia University. He has mastery over his native English and Mandarin Chinese.
