In international news, Spring Airlines is currently pending approval for a new route from Shanghai’s Pudong Airport to Pyongyang. The airline aims for four round-trips weekly.

In Inter-Korean news a South Korean expert has proposed establishing a development bank in North Korea to create a sustainable economic system before and after unification.

On the domestic front the Pyongyang-based Kumphyong Motors is producing over 20,000 new vehicles a year, according to the North Korean quarterly Foreign Trade
