In international news the Agence France-Presse (AFP) has signed an agreement with the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) in Paris, which will allow AFP to open an office in the North Korean capital Pyongyang.
In Inter-Korean news, trade between the two Koreas came to US$2.71 billion last year, an all-time high according to data provided by the Korea International Trade Association.
On the domestic front, Pyongyang Times published that there are currently hundreds of foreign companies operating in North Korea, which tallies with a 2012 Open Source Center report, which identified more than 350 JVs in the DPRK.
