In international news, HBOil which had been partnered with the Korea Oil Exploration Corporation (KOEC) since 2013, has decided to end this relationship amidst US sanctions. Further, Texas A&M University is to assist North Korea’s only private university to develop its agricultural research.

In Inter-Korean news, the South Korean women’s soccer team will play against North Korea in Pyongyang for the first time since the division of the Korean Peninsula.

On the domestic front, the DPRK is to host the 25th annual Paektusan International Figure-skating Festival in February. Besides, in economic news, according to reports, their geographical resources are selling at giveaway prices.
