In international news, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the British Council and the DPRK Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, designed to expand cultural exchanges between the two countries.

In inter-Korean news, in line with the announcement of the personnel for the Presidential Committee for Unification Preparation, the South Korean government said July 15 that it would give three billion won (about US$2.92 million) from the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund to private South Korean organizations to support humanitarian aid projects in North Korea.

On the domestic front, a Mongolian oil company with ties to North Korea is planning to entice foreign investors to the country’s energy sector by showing them geological data which could indicate the presence of oil and gas resources,NKNews reported.
