Indonesia recently passed a new law called Job Creation Law or commonly known as Omnibus Law. The law is a landmark as it harmonises a number of regulations, such as labour, taxation, permits, so as to cut burreaucracy and requirementes to invest in Indonesia. It ultimately aims at making much easier to do business and invest in Indonesia.

The Omnibus Law which is signed into law by President Joko Widodo on 2nd November 2020 needs to be disseminated to relevant stakeholders, including business community in Italia.

At the same time, Indonesia also offers ample investment opportunies to its partners including those from abroad. Various infrastructure projects are open for cooperation.

Given the long economic relations between the two countries, it is the time for a recalibrated effort to enhance economic relations through dissemination of Omnibus Law and scouting concrete potential interests for cooperation, including in Indonesia’s infrastructure projects.

In order to do this, Indonesia Embassy in Rome in collaboration with Italy-ASEAN Association (AIA) plan to held an interactive webinar inviting Italian business and business associations as well as potential investors.
