In international news, the European Union sanctions a North Korean insurance company and the DPRK opens a new hospital in Tanzania.

In Inter-Korean news, the former President of the Kaesong Cooperation Hospital discusses how working in the Kaesong Industrial Complex (KIC) altered his view on the future of medicine on the Korean Peninsula.

On the domestic front, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is planning to send an investment delegation to Vietnam and a ceremony was held in Pyongyang to mark the graduation of students from Pyongyang University of Science and Technology to which senior DPRK officials, members of the diplomat corps and UN representatives all attended.
