The book details the early years of doing business in China, and then trials and tribulations that went with establishing one of the first independent consulting firms in China. It has since been recognized as a cult classic on starting a business in China from scratch. The original print run of 10,000 copies has sold out, and the book went out of print in 2008. It has subsequently been downloaded in pdf format more than 25,000 times. The book remains a minor classic of entrepreneurial instinct and business survival in China and will be of interest to any young professional starting a business in the country.
