The English Debating Society of Hindu College was started in the pre-independence era and has had the privilege of being addressed by many of our country’s freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi and Madan Mohan Malaviya. It is the most active and successful society within the college and is arguably the most successful across Delhi University.We organize four major debates every year- The Ashok Priyadarshi Memorial Fresher’s Conventional Debate, The Tantra Extempore Debate, The NV Thadani Memorial Invitational Parliamentary Debate and our flagship event The Premchand Memorial International Parliamentary Debate which will have its 13th Edition hosted this year in March.
Siddhartha Thyagarajan our Senior Associate of Business Intelligence in New Delhi, will be the Chief Adjudicator for the event.
