Corruption remains a grave social problem in jurisdictions across Asia, hindering economic growth and undermining fair market competition. In accordance with its decade of action combating corruption, Duxes will hold the 5th Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2017 on December 6-8 in Hong Kong. The summit will work with leaders in industry and government from across the region in providing a platform to discuss important topics related to anti-corruption compliance.
The summit will open with two master classes on December 6th. The morning class will educate attendees on designing effective compliance programs, with comprehensive information on the anti-corruption enforcement climate, as well as requirements for internal controls record-keeping. The afternoon class will delve into crisis management, detailing optimal practices for companies when faced with an anti-corruption allegation or investigation.
The first day of the summit will proceed to cover the regulatory environment in important Asian jurisdictions, with officials from government agencies in the U.S., Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, providing testimony on anti-corruption laws governing corporations operating in each jurisdiction. The summit will conclude with a series of presentations from speakers in the corporate world, highlighting compliance practices such as third party due diligence, risk management, appropriate responses to crises, and use of data analytics for compliance purposes.
In offering a unique format for the 5th Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2017, incorporating both classes and expert presentations, Duxes strives to continue its decade-long commitment to combating corruption. Professionals working for law and consulting firms, in corporate compliance departments, or related areas, are invited to attend.
