Comparison: Minimum Wages in China and India
As the population demographics are now shifting to a younger workforce in India from China, minimum wage comparisons, while not exact, provide some clues about the nature of costs associated within the labor pools of each.
China-India Wage Comparison
Based on a UBS report of global prices and earnings, we present a comparison of China and India’s wages and salaries. We find that low-skilled worker wages are lower in India, while high-skilled worker wages are closer to being equal.
