Doing Business in Indonesia 2026: What It Looks Like in Practice

Webinar | Friday, 27 March 2026 | 3:00 PM Jakarta / 4:00 PM Singapore / 09:00 AM CET

Mar 27, 2026

Indonesia continues to position itself as one of Southeast Asia’s most attractive investment destinations, supported by regulatory reforms aimed at improving market access and reducing entry barriers for foreign investors. Recent updates under the Ministry of Investment Regulation No. 5 of 2025 introduce significant adjustments to the investment framework, including the reduction of minimum paid-up capital requirements for foreign-owned companies and updates to the KBLI business classification system.

While entry requirements have become more accessible, businesses must still navigate Indonesia’s regulatory landscape, including the Positive Investment List, sector-specific restrictions, and corporate establishment procedures under the OSS-RBA licensing system.

In this webinar, our experts Hardy Salim from Business Advisory Services Indonesia and Nadhila Ismiralda from Business Intelligence ASEAN will provide practical insights into what doing business in Indonesia looks like in practice, from understanding market entry regulations to establishing a company and navigating sector classifications under the latest KBLI framework. The session will help foreign investors and regional decision-makers better understand how recent reforms impact investment planning and business operations in Indonesia.

Topics will include:

  • Indonesia’s Business Outlook 2026
  • Overview of the Positive Investment List Indonesia and sector-specific foreign ownership restrictions
  • Hot Sectors & Emerging Opportunities 2026
  • Understanding the Business Licensing Framework (Ministry of Investment Regulation No. 5 of 2025)
  • Company Establishment in Practice
