IsCham is delighted to invite you to a joint seminar about the importance of tight control mechanisms and labor dispute resolutions when setting up a business in China. The event is co-organized together with Dezan Shira and PTL Group.

Mr. Kyle Freeman, senior associate of international business advisory at Dezan Shira & Associates, will be discussing common labor issues in China and risk mitigation strategies for labor contracts and staff handbooks, social insurance payments, and employee termination.

Mr. Arie Schreier, the General Manager of PTL Group China will talk about the things that can go wrong with your China operations if you do not have tight control mechanisms and the daily issues that can occur when the HQ fails to set the right control mechanisms. These issues can include choosing the wrong GM, not setting up clear work flows and monitoring systems, choosing the wrong partners, using unprofessional service providers and so on.

Dezan Shira & Associates is a pan-Asia, multi-disciplinary professional services firm, providing legal, tax and operational advice to international corporate investors. With more than two decades of on-the-ground experience and a large team of lawyers, tax experts and auditors, in addition to researchers and business analysts, Dezan Shira & Associates have helped hundreds of foreign companies to establish and expand in China and beyond.

PTL Group, founded in 2000, focused on setting up and running professional operations like finance, HR, recruitment, marketing, warehousing and logistics for the first decade.
